What is a Notary Public?

A Notary Public is a public servant that is authorized by statute to take acknowledgement of the signature of a person who signs a document. The primary duty of a Notary Public is to show that a disinterested party (the Notary) has confirmed a signature on an important document. A Notary Public is an official witness to the signature of a document. 

What forms of ID are acceptable?

The document must be current & contain a photograph & description of the person named on it, be signed, & bear a serial number:

1. Current driver's license or state issued I.D. card

2. Current U.S. passport

3. Current foreign passport stamped by the U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Service

4. Military I.D. issued by any branch of the U.S. armed forces

Why are Notaries & Notarizations important?

Notaries public are required by law to strictly meet all the standard procedures in performing any notarial act. This protects against identity fraud & bestows credibility to the document in question. It is very difficult to contest a document that carries the seal & signature of a Notary Public. What are your hours?

We are open from 9:30a to 8:30p Monday through Saturday.

Sunday, we are open from 9:30a to 2:30p. 

We are open on all federal holidays except for Thanksgiving and Christmas (subject to change). Because your convenience is our priority, our working hours remain flexible to accommodate your schedule. Click here to set an appointment.

What areas do you serve?

We primarily serve the counties of Davidson, Cheatham, Robertson, and Williamson. However, for a fee we are wiling to travel further outside of those counties. 

Which forms of payment do you accept?

 

We accept multiple payment options, including Cash, Venmo, Cash App, and PayPal. For title companies and signing services, we accept checks addressed to Auddie Cousins (Contact us for the exact mailing address).
